Cammie Grace Weaver has been awarded Student Graduation Marshal of the College of Agriculture for Spring 2018. Student marshals are selected by the college award committee. By being selected, Weaver has distinguished herself by her service to the College of Agriculture. To be considered, students must have completed a minimum of four semesters at Auburn University with a grade point average of 3.40 or higher. They must also possess qualities of leadership, citizenship, character, and a promise of professional ability.
Weaver is from Opp, Alabama and graduated from Opp High School in 2014. She has gone above and beyond during her time in Auburn. She is graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications and a minor in Stewardship Based Agriculture. She is a student worker in the college’s student services office where she helps with recruitment, events, and serves the student body, and is also an undergraduate teaching assistant. She has invested her time at Auburn University in many organizations; she is involved in Ag Council, Ag Peer Mentors, and Ag Hill Communications. Weaver is also an active member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Weaver’s involvement, not only in the College of Agriculture but also the community, has not gone unnoticed.
After graduation, Weaver is attending Oklahoma State University to obtain a Master of Science in Agricultural Education and Leadership. She will be a graduate assistant for two years and plans to use her education to help enhance Agricultural Education programs in the state of Alabama after graduation.
